Notes: Lopezaria differs from Megalaria in having an ocular chamber in the tholus, from Catinaria in lacking a perispore; and from Megalospora in having 2-spored asci and a non-inspersed hymenium reacting I+ greenish blue. Because the genus is monospecific, a generic description would simply recapitulate the specific description given below.
