MB# 384323 TYPE. “In cortice arborum Portoricci.” [In the bark of the trees of Puerto Rico.] (Sprengel 1820) Description. Life form: lichenized fungus. Thallus filamentous, flat, light grayish blue-green; fibrils irregularly appressed, forming a +/-irregular, rough surface. Clamp connections absent. Photobiont cyanobacterial, filaments always solitary. Usually sterile. Chemistry. Not reported. Substrate and Habitat. Corticolous on trees; muscicolous on mosses and liverworts. Distribution.
