Pseudothecia: black, immersed to sessile, 0.10.2(-0.25) mm in diam. ascomatal wall: dark brown, but basally pale, laterally 8-16 µm wide, apically up to 30 µm wide paraphysoids: absent periphyses: septate asci: broadly clavate, 55-58 x 15-18 µm, 8-spored ascospores: medium to dark brown or grayish brown, 1-septate, ovoid to broadly ovoid (L:W ? 2.4), with one end or both ends strongly attenuated, 12-16(-20) x (4-)6(-8) µm; wall: thick and smooth Pycnidia: not seen. Hosts: on the thallus of Acarospora subgen. Phaeothallia species World distribution: Europe and North America Sonoran distribution: Eastern Arizona.
