Vegetative hyphae: hyaline, BCr- Pseudothecia: black, subglobose to oblong, immersed to semi-immersed, 60-75 µm tall and 40-55 µm wide wall: upper part brownish black and lower part hyaline, mostly 5-12 µm thick hamathecium: pseudoparaphyses absent or indistinct periphyses: (1-)2-3 µm in diam., (3-)5-10 µm long, asci: clavate, 22-31 x 11-15 µm, sessile to shortly stipitate, 8spored; endoascus: BCr- ascospores: hyaline, 1-septate, constricted at septa, upper cell larger than lower cell, subclavate, rarely ellipsoid, (8.5-)9-13(-14) x (3.5-)4-5(-6) µm, outer perispore halonate (0.5-1 µm), obtuse-ended; walls: smooth, thin, BCr- Pycnidia: oblong, 48-56 x 2123 µm conidiogenous cells: c. 4 x 4 µm conidia: 3-3.5 x 0.5-1 µm. Hosts: apothecial discs of Lecanora muralis group (L. muralis, L. bipruinosa, L. novomexicana, L. phaedrophthalma and World distribution: Europe, Africa (Morocco), and North America (U.S.A. and Mexico) Sonoran distribution: Arizona and Sonora.
