Squamules: up to 6 (-8) mm diam.; epithecium brown, partly with a green tinge orange pigment: (K+ red) present in the upper part of the hypothecium and inside the lumina of many paraphyses, asci, and spores ascospores: narrowly ellipsoid to fusiform, simple, 11.5-17 x 4-5.5 µm Secondary metabolites: terpenoids (chemotype 6). Host: Heppia Substrate and ecology: on soil over limestone, rock wall in small canyon World and Sonoran distribution: southeastern Arizona (single locality), at 1750 m (triangle).
