Habitat: _Thuja occidentalis_ swamp with a few scattered _Populus_, _Betula_ and _Alnus_
Substrate: _Nesolechia osyspora_ on _Punctelia rudecta_ on _Thuja occidentalis_ log
Associated Species: Phacopsis oxyspora, Punctelia rudecta
Notes: apothecia black, convex, marginless, scattered on gall in host, a few weakly yellowish pruinose?; epihymenium golden-brown, K+ bleeding yellow then clearing; hymenium ~50um, I- K/I-; hypothecium reddish-brownish, clearing in K; paraphyses abundantly branched at least near the top; asci clavate with very thick tip and very narrow long ocular chamber, K/I- entirely; spores 8 per ascus, pale brown, verruculose (visible at 400x), 1-septate, one end wider and ~shorter, constricted at septum, 15x6um
