covering base of old _Thuja occidentalis_
thallus thin, ~smooth, pale greenish-grayish; apothecia pale brownish-creamy, convex and emarginate from start; epihymenium hyaline; exciple hyaline, well-developed, radiating narrow parallel hyphae occasionally expanding to ~5um at tips; hymenium hyaline; hypothecium hyaline; paraphyses weakly branched at most, ~2um thick to occasionally expanded to ~5um at tips, few-septate near tips; asci biatora-type, axial mass definitely tapering and not reaching all the way through D layer, some definitely have darker tube structure?; spores 8 per ascus, hyaline, fusiform, middle constricted in water not in K, 3-5(7)-septate, minutely warty perispore, ~25(35)x6-7um
