Locality: United States, Washington, Spokane County, Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, cliff complex in southwestern part of refuge near outflow from Hale Lakes

Habitat: low south-facing cliffs shaded by pine forest
Substrate: basalt
Notes: very convex pale areoles shiny on top to dull on side and below gomphate and concolorous on margins and below (but heavily parasitized and most appearing black below!), cortex ~30-40um brown upper half C+r strong globose cells ~5um indistinct, apothecia inset and very rough red-brown irregular-shaped 1-3 per areole, epihymenium pale orangish with ~hyaline to brown crap piled on top, hymenium 100-120um, subhymenium 50+um, parathecium to ~50um on top, algae continuous and even, asci ~90x10um, spores many per ascus narrowly oblong to ellipsoid ~6-8x1.5-2um
