Notes: thick verruculose pale gray thallus, K+y C- KC- P-, apothecia crowded large constricted flexuose, disk dark red-brown epruinose, rim rugose cortex roughened, epihymenium dark red-brown POL- or POL+ coarse granules clearing in K, amphithecium mostly POL+ clearing in K and with large K- crystals, cortex evenly thin ~15-20um, spores 13.4±1.2x8.9±0.5um walls 0.9-1.1um N=15
