thallus lacking; medulla I- or I+ red throughout; apothecia clustered along cracks; epihymenium bright aeruginose; hymenium ~50um, bluish-greenish; hypothecium dark brown on top and in a distinct layer below, paler between; exciple thick, dark red-brown outside, distinctly reddish inside appearing C+pink, K~ violet where reddish, tips of hyphae swollen to ~8um and distinctly greenish, interior hyphae very thin < 2.5um (best seen in K squash); spores 8 per ascus, oblong-ellipsoid, ~9-12x3um; TLC confluentic + unknown (JPH plate 51.4 solvents B' and C on 20180501)
