Description: Thallus irregular, imbricated lobes; lobes narrow, crenulate at tips with lobules; upper surface gray, pruinose, sorediate; soredia granular, in marginal soralia, lower surface white; apothecia not seen; asci 8-spored; ascospores brown, 1 septate; spot tests: upper cortex K+ and P+ yellow
