Description: Thallus foliose, loosely adnate, irregularly lobate; lobes: subirregular, short, plane, contiguous, blackish marginally; upper surface yellow green, dull, epruinose, no asexual structures; medulla white with continuous algal layer; lower surface brown, moderately rhizinate; rhizines pale brown, simple; apotehcia common, laminal,; disc cinnamon-brown; spot tests: upper cortex no reactions, medulla K+ yellow to dark red, P+ orange
