On siliceous rock outcrops along river and in adjacent Tsuga mertensiana-Thuja piicata mature forest. Amphidium, Heteroc1 adium, and Homalia abundant on rock faces< Brachytheeium hylotapetum and Hylocomium present on forest floor and Metaneckera present as an ep i phyte. Dale H.
