ID certainty: certain. "Roger: New ID for an old specimen: your 1662 is Caloplaca tominii Sav. I believe. See the most recent Bryologist (84:222). I have written on my specimen that Thomson determined it as a Candelariella but that can't be since it's K+ purple. We have been checking tominii out & it turns out that Looman's report of Caloplaca cirrochroa on the plains is tominii. I have specimens of tominii from western MT. The herbarium here has specimens from Utah & Alaska. Sorry about not getting the Cetraria monograph off to you. It slipped my mind, then it was too late. Do you want me to send it to Misoula or wait till you go back to Idaho? Take care, Bruce"
