Distr. Above decayed mosses (chiefly Gymnomitrium concinnatum and Andreaea) on rock and rarely to the rock itself (on the side of gneiss rock) or soil. LPon: near Ponoj (Fellum l.c.) Lin.: In pine-covered region to Veskoniemi and on Mt. Ruoptuinvaara (Vain. l.c.). LEnont.: In mountains near Leutsuvaara to Kilipisjärvi (Norrl: Ber. Torn. Lappm. P. 335). Kuus: To Kitkajoki (F. Silén, >>L. tenebricosa saxicola>> sec. determ. Nyl., n. 143) and in fir region, mountains Mäntytunturi (Vain. l.c. p. 50).
