areoles subsquamulose, black rhizohyphae below where lifting from surface, convex, pruinose to not, pale yellowish-greenish-grayish; medulla orange below, K+v; apothecia convex, becoming adnate; epihymenium pale brown; hymenium inspersed, ~130um; hypothecium rich dark brown; asci lecanora-type, but walls of axial mass staining a bit darker than the rest in some esp. in early stages; spores 8 per ascus, 1-septate, brown, thin-walled, ~constricted, ~15-18x8-10um
