Notes: thallus of dispersed areoles, areoles convex dark brown shiny ~0.5mm wide small broadly attached, cortex ~30um with ~5-7um epinecral layer cells ~4-5um, algal layer continuous and even, all C- in section, apothecia round filling areoles and appearing lecanorine in age sometimes elevated in parathecial crown, disk dark brown epruinose, epihymenium red-brown, hymenium ~90um, paraphyses fairly stout to 2.5-3um septate expanding a bit at tips, spores many per ascus ~(3-)4-6(-7)x2-2.5um
