areolate dark olive-green thallus with black to olive-black fibriate prothallus, apothecia with raised thalline margin and black disks with white pruina in age, pycnidia black and protruding, epihymenium olive brown turning brown in K, spores 8 per ascus ~18-20x10-12um, conidia filiform mostly 18-22um, all parts including cortex and medulla and apothecia K- C- KC- P-, paraphyses with up to 3 globose cells at tips moderately branched; TLC no substances detected (performed by Jessi Allen in 201601)
