thallus verrucose-areolate, orange-brown; medulla P- I-; apothecia lecideine from start, black, sessile; epihymenium slightly greenish black, K-; hymenium 60-70um, clear; hypothecium red-brown; paraphyses big swollen pigment-capped tip to 6-7um; asci clearly bacidia-type with narrow K/I- tube ending just before tip; spores 8 per ascus, hyaline, 1-septate, constricted, 12-13x6-7um, very thin halo at last when young
