Thallus foliose, adnate, irregularly lobate; lobes: subirregular, short, plane, contiguous, sub rotund apices, lobulate centrally; Upper surface blue yellow-green, with some macula; Medulla white; lower surface brown, moderately rhizinate; apothecia up to 4 mm, cinnamon-brown; spot test: medulla P+ orange, K+ yellow to red; TLC usnic, salazinic
