Sporodochia: black, convex, with a rough surface, 200300 µm in diam. conidiophores: almost indistinguishable from the hyaline mycelium, densely aggregated ogenous cells: brown conidia: brown, (1-)2(-3)-celled, rarely submuriform, ellipsoid, slightly constricted at the septa, +smooth, irregularly thick-walled, 2-celled conidia 10-13 x 6-9 µm. Hosts: on the margin of the thalline areoles of the Lecanora rupicola group World distribution: Europe, Macaronesia, and North America Sonoran distribution: collected once in eastern Arizona at 2800 m.
