on bark on the top and North facing side of a rotting down tree, semi-shaded within a Pseudotsuga menziseii/Abies concolor woodland with small maple and ash understory
Thallus foliose, lobate; lobes linear, irregular, flat; upper surface brown with a partial (lobe ends) to essentially complete pruinose; soredia in marginal elongate, curved; individual soralia are granular; lower surface pale to tan soon darkening inward, rhizines black; apothecia not seen; spot tests: medulla K+ yellow, KC+ yellow; soralia K= and KC+ yellow
