Notes: thallus pale grayish, K+y C- KC- UV- KUV+y P-; apothecia black, clustered or proliferating, persistent thin ~prominent margin, POL- inside; epihymenium bluish diffuse pigment, K+ greener; hymenium ~100u, clear; hypothecum brown to red-brown; exciple golden- to orange-brown (K+ brighter/oranger), radiating hyphae ~8um wide; paraphyses slender, branching, scarcely expanded; asci lecanora-type?; spores hyaline, irregularly ~ellipsoid, thick-walled, simple, smooth, ~13-16x8-10um
