Associated Species: Aspicilia nashii, Caloplaca atroalba, Rhizocarpon geminatum
Notes: perithecia ellipsoid immersed in host thallus black ~225um wide to ~300um tall, wall thick dark brown from 40um at base to ~100um or more at top, periphyses long persistent abundant, paraphyses/oids lacking, hymenium densely inspersed I- K/I-, asci cylindrical with thick walls near tip I- K/I-, spores 2 per ascus? oblong hyaline smooth? simple ~32-40x10um I+r K/I+r in mottled pattern
