perithecia immersed in host areole black ~200um wide, exciple complete dark brown thin to quite thick near ostiole, hamathecium of abundant slender hyaline ~1.5um paraphysoids scarcely visible at maturity, hymenium I+v turning golden K/I+v, asci cylindrical with thick sides near tip and squared-off centrum at tip K/I- I+r inside, spores 8(16) per ascus 1-septate gray to dark brown lightly textured one cell slightly larger ~18-22x8-12um, conidia bacilliform ~6-8x1.5um
