pale gray strongly verrucose thallus, K- C- KC- UV~?, apothecia inset 1 per areole ~epruinose except maybe when young small rims indistinguishable from normal thallus, epihymenium olive-green turning pale brown in K, hymenium tall > 100um to maybe 150um I+ fleeting blue immediately wine-red in thin section (takes longer in thick section), cortex ~25um, pycnidia black protruding dots at apices of verrcae, conidia (6-)8-10(-12)um, paraphyses anastomosing an strongly tangled at tips with ~3-4 globose cells
