thallus dirty dark gray, irregularly ~blastidiat; apothecia dingy orangish; cortex with thick-walled globose cells to 7um, granular near top, K~v slow and weak C~v weak; amphithecium with scattered algae, loose globose thin-walled cells to ~10um; subhymenium smaller-celled, clear; parathecium very thin; hymenium ~60um, clear; epihymenium strongly granular orange, K+r/v deep bleeding C-; spores 8 per ascus, (11)11.6-14(15)x(5)5.5-6.7(7)um Q=(1.7)1.9-2.4(2.6), septum 3-4(4.5)um N=10
