Yes, you are right. But I don't think it is Cladonia acuminata. As far as I know C. acumitata typically has minute pycnidia and podetia that are distinctly tapered, not ending in these conspicuous "turban-like" apothecia. Both Cladonia botrytes and C. peziziformis have the "turbans" - but C. peziziformis has larger squamules. So, I guess your revision, changing this to C. peziziformis should be correct.

I have James Lendemer's ID on this one. It's Cladonia peziziformis. Confirmed by the presence of basal squamules which C. p. has but C. b. doesn't.
