Habitat: On gypsum knolls, floor of valley.
Notes: There seem to be no reliable structural or chemical differences separating L. russellii Tuck. from the widely distributed L. rubiformis Wahlb. This collection represents a mounded, pruinose-dealbate ecad of desert soils.
