Kent State University Lichen Herbarium (KE)The Tom S. and Miwako K. Cooperrider Herbarium was founded in 1921, and currently holds approximately 93,000 accessions of vascular plants, bryophytes, and lichens. The strength of the collection is primarily in the flora of Ohio (especially the northeastern portion of the state), but other regions of North America are represented. Significant collections include those of T. S. Cooperrider and his students, and late 19th and early 20th century collections of Almon Rood and his contemporaries.
