Thallus foliose, very loosely adnate; lobes sublunar, elongate, separate; apices sub truncate, smooth, black rimmed; upper surface yellow-green, dull; medulla white; lower surface black, rhizinate; rhizines black; apothecia laminal, dark brown disc; spot tests: upper cortex K+ yellow turining red, P+ orange; medulla K+ yellow turning dark red; P+ orange
