Undulated serir south of the Swakop Valley about 25 km linear distance from the Atlantic. Occasionally accompanied by Neofuscelia namaensis (J. Stein. et Zahlbr.) Essl., Xanthomaculina Hotterntotta (Ach.) Hale etc. (Xanthomaculinetum convolutae Follm.)
Initially growing on quartzy pebbles, later on partly vagrant, often hidden under the predominant Xanthomaculina convulta (Hue) Hale blown together in sandy pans and dales.
