thallus foliose, adnate; lobes sublinear, contiguous, plane; apices rounded; upper surface greenish-yellow, smooth at the margins but becoming rugose; medulla white; lower surface pale brown, Rhizinate; rhizines pale brown, simple; apothecias common, laminal, concave; disc dark brown; pycnidia common; spot tests: upper cortex negative, medulla K+ yellow to red, P+ red
