New to Finland. Description based on the Finnish specimen: thallus endolithic, pale brown; perithecia immersed; no involucrellum; exciple dark, 0.25–0.4 mm diam.; spores (1–)2–3-septate, 28–38 × 13–16 μm. The spores are as frequently 2-septate as 3-septate. In T. incavatum only few spores are occasionally 2-septate and the thallus is white to grey. Few earlier records of the species are known from Fennoscandia from Sweden (Santesson et al. 2004).
