The thallus is unnoticeable or barely distinguishable.
The structure of the apothecia is very similar to C. fraudans, however, the spores are noticeably wider, at 11–16 x 7–9 μm, and with a wider septum – 5 – 6 μm thicker.
On calcareous–stones (limestone?), and crystalline schists.
Arctic (New World) – Europe (Norway, Sweden)
This is a very poorly studied species, however, large spores and stout lateral septum are used as the basis for identifying this taxon as a separate species.
